Patricia Stout, Lotus 88 Foundation's founder and President,
is an accomplished businesswoman and entrepreneur. In 1988, she co-founded DPC Technologies, a
federal information technology contractor located in Rockville, Maryland. After the company's
acquisition in 1999, Patricia was able to devote more time to her passion for humanitarian causes,
and in 2004 founded Lotus 88 Foundation. She is currently a partner in The Shawmark Group, a
leading private equity firm.
Patricia was born and raised in Hong Kong and educated in England and the United States. She graduated
from Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Jon Stout is Board Treasurer and Director of Lotus 88 Foundation.
He started and managed a number of high technology businesses. In 1988, he co-founded with
his wife Patricia, DPC Technologies and helped grow and sell the business in 1999. Following
the sale of DPC Technologies, Jon purchased a controlling share in Hadron, Inc. and turned
it from a loss to high profitability. In December 2003, Jon sold his interest and is now a
managing partner of The Shawmark Group, a leading private equity firm.
Jon serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chopra Foundation, a non-profit
organization founded by Deepak Chopra, M.D.
Jon was born and raised in Rochester, New York and has a JD degree from the
University of Chicago Law School.
Fran Connelly-Duda is Board Secretary and Director of Lotus 88
Foundation. She has a background in Electron Microscopy and Pharmaceutical Research, and
is Board Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology. In 1980 she retired to
raise a family and pursued her education in the area of children with learning differences. She has
served on several advisory committees as an advocate for children with learning difficulties,
and has worked to educate and support the academic community in dealing with such issues.
Fran has been involved in fund raising and non-profit management since 1990. For
more than seven years she has served as Committee Board Chairperson for March of
Dimes, a national non-profit organization. She continued her studies in this area
at the College of the University of Pennsylvania. Fran is owner of Innervision12 LLC,
a service that produces Quantum Leadership seminars and retreats.
